MRS. EUGENE BERSHAW, NATIVE OF UNIONTOWN, DIES AT LEWISTON
Mrs. Eugene Bershaw, 42, a native of this place, died Thursday of last week at 2:40 pm at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lewiston. Mrs. Bershaw had been ill for several years and relatives here were advised early last week that she was steadily growing weaker. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Herboth, early arrivals in this community. The family home was at 408 Sixth avenue in Lewiston, of which place she had been a resident for 18 years.
Survivors at the time of her death include her husband, Eugene Bershaw; six children, Gene, Gayle, Barbara, Geraldine, Joyce, and Donna, all of Lewiston; her father, George Herboth, Uniontown; two brothers, Harry Herboth, Sacramento, Calif., and Al J. Herboth, Spokane; and five sisters, Mrs. Ida Nibler, Portland; Mrs. J.J. Dahm and Mrs. J.C. Busch, both of Rocky Ford, Alta; Mrs. Fred Clower and Mrs. Barthol Schumacher, both of Uniontown.
A rosary was held for the deceased at 7:30 Friday night and funeral services were conducted at 8 Saturday morning from St. Stanislaus Church, the Rev. Father F.J. Schoenberg, officiating. Interment was in Normal Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were: Henry Kauffman, Willard Hall, Delbert Norberg, Charles Grieser, Jr., Patrick Garland and C.D. McCullen.
