Claude Ellen lived and loved life to its fullest. She traveled extensively, read voraciously, and had interest in the arts, fashion, community, politics, and her church.
Claude Ellen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She loved her relatives and many friends.
Claude Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, David Dewey, and her parents, Robert and Dorothy Hill. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Bryan Keith Harris, and Britton Lee Harris: a grandson, Charles Robert Harris, a sister, Barbara Dean; a brother, Robert Neil (Donna) Hill; four nieces, Cynthia Lynn (Damon) Hill, Deborah Dianne (Roger) Durden, Tina Ann (Richard) Evans, and Claudet Marie Dean: five great nephews, two great nieces, and two aunts, Maye Goodwin and Faye Easeley. Claude Ellen is also survived by two very close cousins, Pat Purser, John Johnson, a loving friend, Vicky Harris, two step sons, David (Sherry) Dewey, Patrick (Debby) Dewey, granddaughter, Nicole Dewey, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Bryan Harris, Britton Harris, Charles Harris, Robert Hill, John Johnson, and Patrick Dewey.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 6301 Yorktown Blvd., with Rev. Sandra Lee Hanna officiating.
Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
