Grace Aileen Erickson, 88, of Lexington, MO passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at her home. Aileen Barbour was born February 10, 1924 in Jacksonville, IL the daughter of Thomas Wesley and Grace Moss Lindsey Barbour. She married Lucien "Lou" Erickson, who survives of the home, on March 20, 1964 in Springfield, IL. Mrs. Erickson was a member and a Deaconess of the Lexington First Christian Church which merged with the First Presbterian and is now Presbyterian Disciples Church. She was a sales representative for L. B. Price Mercantile for many years. In addition to her husband she is survived by a stepson, Bill Erickson and wife, Cindy, of Bayview, TX. . A granddaughter, Diane Nicole Tarr and husband ,Jon, St. Louis, MO. A great-grandson, Jackson Gray Tarr and a great-granddaughter, Violet Tarr. One brother, Tommy Barbour, Godfrey, IL and a sister, Mary Lou Ratliff, Brownwood, TX. Nephews: Chuck Ratliff, Plano TX, Bill Henry Ratliff, Brownwood, TX and Mike Moeller and wife, Mindy, Jacksonville, IL. Nieces: Karen Wade, Jacksonville, IL, and Brad and Jody Dopplett, Helotes, TX and Elain White and husband, Lyndal, Bluffs, IL, and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bob Barbour, Bill Barbour, and Crum Barbour. One sister, Alice Moeller. A short Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Presbyterian Disciples Church, 10th & Franklin, Lexington, MO. Inurnment will be in Jacksonville, IL at a later date. Memorials may be made to: Presbyterian Disciples Church, the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland, 8900 State Line Rd. #320, Leawood, KS 66206 (913) 341-8828, or Hospice Care of the Midwest, 4731 S. Our sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. Singh, the nurses of Hospice and the caregivers both at home and in Port Isabel, TX, who made this transition so very tolerable.
