Benjamin Franklin Cubbage III, 61 of Elkton, passed away April 23, 2012 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Cubbage was born October 16, 1950 in Elkton, and was the son of Elder Benjamin F. Cubbage, Jr. and the late Doris Mae Williams Cubbage. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Cubbage.

Ben was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Harrisonburg, and a United States Navy Veteran, serving with the Seebee's. He was a self-employed truck driver, who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Besides his father, Mr. Cubbage is survived by his wife, Constance Frye Cubbage; son, Whitney Lee Frye and wife, Gail, Elkton; daughter, Sabrina C. Cubbage and boyfriend, Drew Thomas, Elkton, special nephew and niece, Reginald Scott and wife, Mia; brothers, Leewood Davis and wife, Alice, David Cubbage, Timothy Cubbage, Todd Cubbage all of Elkton; sisters, Beulah Thomas and husband, David, Charlotte Majors and husband, Jesse, Barbara Freeman and husband, Eddie, and Sharon Hodgins all of Elkton; grandchildren, Samantha Frutiger, Isaac Frye, Darren Frye, Asya Frye, Jy'Sil Batista, Angela Batista, Amelia Batista, Endyca Thomas; great-grandchild, Jaelynn Frutiger; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton, with Elder Roscoe Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Bible Way Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 - 8pm at the funeral home in Elkton.
