==========
"The LaFayette Sun" - August 11, 1915:

On last Wednesday, July 20th, the Death Angel again visited our community and bore the spirit of Mrs. Robbie Blackmon to her Heavenly home. She had been sick for quite awhile and all that loving hands could do was done, but to no avail, for God needed one more angel around His throne. The whole community mourns, for we have lost one whose place cannot be filled. She was loved by all and was a friend to all. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and lived up to the church duties. Besides the many friends, there were three brothers and three sisters left to mourn her loss. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters and one son; Mrs. Cal Sims, Mrs. Jim Welch, Mrs. Coleman Shockley and Arthur Blackmon. Her pastor, Rev. McCoy, Rev. Sims and Rev. G. D. Hunt conducted the funeral services. Her body was interred in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
