Mary was born on July 7, 1943, to Esmael and Estella (Ortega) Arias in Pastura, New Mexico.
She grew up in the Santa Rosa/ Puerto de Luna area. She moved to Vaughn and at age 15 came to Clovis where she worked as a homemaker and took care of her children by working at restaurants and cleaning homes. Mary loved to travel and enjoyed quilting. She was of the Catholic faith.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Mary Helen (Anastacio) Urioste, Pauline Chavez (Adam Cobos), and Nikki (John) Trujillo, all of Clovis, New Mexico; two sons, Joshua (Floyd) Beare of Texico, New Mexico and Johnny ( Phyllis) Aragon of Clovis, New Mexico; two sisters, Geraldine Zamora of Burson, California and Frances Guthrie of Clovis, New Mexico; one brother, Jimmy Arias of Clovis, New Mexico; eleven grand children and twenty-two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; four brothers; one grandson, and two greatgrandchildren.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Steed-Todd Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Father Sotero Sena, officiating. Casket bearers are Jonathan Aragon, Hiame Aragon, Adam Cobos, Antonio Aragon, David Trujillo, and Marisa Trujillo. Burial will take place at Puerto de Luna Cemetery in Puerto de Luna, New Mexico.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home and Crematory.
