In a newspaper article dated April 12, 1921 of the Macon Telegraph, front page, it states that Henry Barnes was stabbed to death by his brother, Perry when they got into a fight at their other brother's (Conley's) house. Perry and Henry lived in Candler Co. but Conley lived in Bulloch Co. I am having trouble getting the article small enough for one photo but thought you might be interested in the story. He was stabbed 10 times.

Incidentally, the article said Henry was wanted for questioning in a murder 22 years prior in Bulloch Co. when a man he was seen dragging behind his buggy through a Bulloch Co farm was later found shot 3 times dead and floating in the creek. After Henry was found guilty the dead man supposedly showed up at court so the charges were dropped. The negro who reported finding the dead body was charged with lying under oath and sentenced 5 yrs in which time he died in prison.

My grandmother was his niece. In the newspaper article that she saved, it said that Perry stabbed him in self-defense.
