Edward went to be with our Lord and his loving wife on April 20, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. Branning a long time native of Mesa, Arizona was born on August 30, 1917 in Cleveland Ohio to Frank and Valetta Branning. Edward was a veteran of the US Army Air Force 490th Bomber Squadron (Flying Tigers) serving in China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. He was stationed in many places in India and Burma for three years as a crew chief and engineer gunner on B-25 bombers. He was a member of the Commemorative Air Force-Arizona Wing and also a life member of the Air Force Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, CBI Veterans Association, and the 14th Air Force Association. He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, JoAnn Branning. Survivors include his only son, Kurt Branning, daughter-in-law, Carol, and Jaclyn and Michael (grandchildren). Edward will receive a military burial at a graveside service on Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 at 10:30am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N North Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ.
