Lillie Rowden Barton of Santa Rosa, California, died Feb. 20, 2010 of lung cancer. She attended grade school at Wheeler and was graduated from Vienna High School in 1946.

Her husband, Ray Barton, died several years ago. Surviving are four daughters, Lorrie, Patti and twins Carrie and Annie; three grandchildren, Rachel, Erika, and Nick; and her siblings, Beula Rotter of Carson City, Nev., Beulah Humphrey of Florissant, Bill Rowden of Dixon, Virginia Carroll of Vienna, Helen Riemensnider of Iberia, Dan Rowden of Dixon and Jerry Rowden of Belton; and other relatives.

Her parents, Alman and Mable, and baby brother, Clifford Rowden, all preceded her in death. She was cremated and no services are planned.

Lillie Faye Barton

Born May 15, 1929 in Dixon, Missouri and passed away on February 20, 2010, in Santa Rosa, CA after a long battle with lung cancer with family members by her side.

She was known as a loving mother, sister, and friend to everyone who knew her. She taught many to sew, cook and garden. She gracefully offered support, advice, and opened her home to those in need. She touched many people in her life. She will never be forgotten and will always be missed.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond P. Barton. She is survived by daughters; Lorrie Hukkanen (husband Darrell), Patti Reedy (husband Roy), Annie Barton, and Carrie Barton; also by her very close and beloved grandchildren: Rachel Edler (Aaron), Erika Yeske, Nick Bombace and David Reedy.

A private memorial will be held at a later date for family, friends and neighbors.
