Mr John Chapman, 86, died at his home near Cave City of infirmities due to his old age. He was an old Confederate soldier, having served under General (John Hunt) Morgan. He is survived by sixteen children, and several grand and great grand-children. In charge of funeral services were his Old Confederate friends.
