Statesboro - Mrs. Ruby Baldwin Lemon, 59, died Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah after a long illness.

The Bulloch County native was a member of Hodges Grove Baptist Church in Statesboro, where she served as secretary and sang in the choir. She also was assistant secretary of the Mt. Tabor Association, president of Payton's Choir and a member of the Caravan Gospel Chorus.

Surviving are her husband, Paul Lemon of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Jacquelyn Williams of Statesboro; three sons, Norwood Cone of Red Bank, N.J., and Phillip and Gregory Cone, both of Atlanta; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Hodges, Mrs. Clara McCormick and Mrs. Hattie Mae Shipman, all of Statesboro; six brothers, Henry and Louis Baldwin, both of Orlando, Fla., Robert S. Baldwin of Savannah and Charlie, James and Bob Baldwin, all of Statesboro; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Sunday at Hodges Grove Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro. Payton's Mortuary of Statesboro.
