Mrs Angel Selwyn: An Incredible Soul, Queen of the rabbits. Nicknamed: Moody Madam. So very missed.

Angel was a purebred lionhead from show stock. Brought from my old friends mother. She actully wanted to keep Angel but gave into her son's asking for me to have her and Angel Selwyn was born.

Angel was married to our king of the rabbits Buscit Selwyn from 2005 - until 2011 her death. She was and is an incredible wife and mother. Angel Helped to nurse Buscit after he suffered a brain infection in Dec 2010. Buscit and Snowball her daughter meant everything to Angel and she dovoted her life to her family. Angel had about 12 children in all.

Angel was not afraid of anything. She would chase our cats, fight anyone who even looked the wrong way at Buscit, she even had problems with me stroking him at times! However she could also be gentle and amazingly kind. I remember she never got on with our other girl Minnie and yet when Minnie's son Thumper passed away she broke out of her cage and went over to the children and sheparded them away and then just sat and talked with Minnie... It was truly something to behold.

Angel suddenly became ill on 4/6/11 at 8.00-8.10pm. She had spent a lovely day sunbathing with Buscit and seemed happy. She had been left devastated almost a year before when her beloved daughter Snowball left us but seemed to get on very well with Buscit at her side.

I noticed Angel was not looking well all of a sudden. So we brought her out and washed her so she was beautiful and clean. We realized something was wrong when we had her out, so we were getting ready to give her meds, when she went into cardiac arrest or similar. I rushed Angel to her house and she passed away with Buscit and Myself at her side at 8:50pm. We were holding her paws and she was in her own home which she loved and with the love of her life at her side.

I remember Angel never liked me cleaning out her home and moving items around and Buscit never minded. I remember the first time I cleaned the hutch after Angel died for the first time Buscit copyed Angel and pulled the dustpan out of my hand! Buscit misses Angel terribly but fortunately their Granddaughter Hope has been a huge support and like her mother Snowball is a nurse rabbit which has been a great help.

As Buscit is older and has older age problems, I never expected Angel to go first, its been a shock to the system and has made me realise to expect the unexpected. I wish you had not gone my sweet girl. Never another Angel Selwyn you where always there for me during the years and are ONE OF A KIND! See you again someday. The Angel's must have wanted you. With loved family up above now.
