Professional Bullfighter. He was confirmed as a Matador in 1982 and he was the first pupil of the Madrid Bullfighting school to achieve this. His nicknamed was "El Yiyo." His promising carrier was cut short when he was killed aged 21. He was killed in the bullring at Colmenar Viejo, just outside Madrid, during their annual festival in late August. As he placed the sword in the final bull of the day he was tossed up into the air and then gored through the heart when he was on the ground. There is a monument commemorating him outside the Las Ventas bullring in Madrid.
