Albert Allen "Corky" Franklin, age 62 of Alpena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his home.

The son of the late Grady and Hazel (Smith) Franklin was born December 28, 1948 in Springhill, Louisiana.

He had been a lead man for Tyson's for twenty years. He and his wife moved from Alpena back to Louisiana three years ago and kept a home in Alpena, where they came to enjoy their family. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting, guns, and fishing.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Tresa Franklin of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Cassandra Franklin of Alpena; daughter, Brianna Franklin of Lead Hill; four brothers, Grady Franklin of Cotton Valley, Louisiana, Robert Franklin of Texarkana, Texas, Timothy Franklin of Ozark, Arkansas, and Thomas Franklin of Vivian, Louisiana; two sisters, Georgia Bennett of Vivian, Louisiana and Judy Cottrell of Sarepta, Louisiana. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Logan, Kaden, and Caleb Franklin.
