The Rev Mr Heaton had been a rector at a number of Episcopal churches in Virginia, including Aquia from 1929 to 1948, and subsequently in Wheatland, Wyoming. He died at his home in Purcellville. His funeral was held at the nearby St Peters Episcopal Church.
