Pearl Auman, 90, a resident of Preston Nursing Home and a longtime area resident, died Thrusday, October 17, 1985 of a heart attach at Harmony Community Hospital.

The former Pearl Young was born Sept. 18, 1895, in Winnebago County, Minn. She lived in North Dakota as a child, moving with her famiily to Fillmore in 1916. On May 5, 1917, she married Charles Auman in Rochester. The couple lived in the Wykoff area until 1942, when they moved to Rochester. Mr. Auman worked for the former Rochester Dairy. After retiring in 1970, the couple moved to West Concord where they operated a mobile home court. They moved into the Preston Nursing Home in 1980. Mr. Auman died in 1982.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Vivian) Hare of Wykoff, Mrs. Carol Mundy of Hayfield, Mrs. Evelyn Barnes of Evansdale, IA., and Mrs. Lovica Robinson of Prescott, Wis.; four sons, Allan and Lester, both of Rochester, Clayton of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Robert of Coon Rapids, Minn.; 40 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral was 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fillmore Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Garth Betry officiating. Burial was in Fillmore Cemetery.
