Anna Church, 89, a Woodland resident since 1929, died May 7, 1990, at a Vancouver hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1900, in Holding Ford, Minn., the daughter of Michael and Mary (Gates) Malloy. She was co-owner of Church Appliance from 1934 until her retirement in 1974. Her memberships included the First Presbyterian Church of Woodland, Rebekah Lodge No. 104 of Ridgefield, and American Legion Auxiliary No. 187 of La Center. She enjoyed raising roses, especially "Double Delight." Mrs. Church is survived by a son, Walter Church Jr. of Woodland; a sister, Olive Bridge of Ridgefield; five grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 756 Park Ave., Woodland, with the Rev. Ray Moody officiating. Private family vault interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Vancouver. Those wishing to pay respects may call at Vancouver Funeral Chapel until 8 this evening, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Fire Department, First Aid Unit, P.O. Box 9, Woodland 98674.
