Martha Elaine Adamson, 84, passed away on April 10, 2012 at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston.

Martha was born on December 23, 1927 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. As a young woman she loved to sing at church, and would even sing on the radio with her sister. Martha enjoyed decorating her home, working in her garden, and loved her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. The holidays were a favorite time and Martha made each one special for her entire family.

Martha is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill; daughters, Marla (Don) Hall of Johnston and Michalle (Galen) Harvey of Urbandale. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Luke (Shelly) Hall, Jessica Hall, Nick Harvey and Nathan Harvey; and great-granddaughter, Hadley Hall.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bishop Drumm Care Center for their compassionate care.
