Anna L. Pecht, 88, formerly of Chestnut Ridge Road, McVeytown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Lebanon Valley Home in Annville.

Born March 30, 1935 in Duncannon, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Mary R. (Baughman) Anthony. In April of 1961 she married the love of her life, Donald B. Pecht, who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2007.

Also preceding her in death were five siblings: Leon, Raymond, Betty Jane, Robert, and Donald.

Surviving are: three children, Donald W. Pecht and wife Pam of Lewistown, Lisa A. Smith and companion Michael Burrell of New Holland, Scott R. Pecht of Lebanon; a brother, Carl Anthony of Carlisle; a sister, Winifred Anthony of Camp Hill; three grandchildren, Katie, Victoria, Tyler; five great grandchildren, Gabriel, Neveah, Elsea, Charlotte, Aiden; and a close friend, Jessica, that was like a granddaughter to her.

Anna left Perry County when she was 18 to pursue her dream of becoming a registered nurse. Following her graduation from the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing, she spent her entire career at Lewistown Hospital until retiring in 1986. She started in the surgical ward before finding her true passion in the emergency room.

She and her husband attended the Ryde United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping with the church food stand at Grassmyer's Auction House. They also enjoyed spending the winter months together in Florida for 14 years.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Lebanon Valley Home, who provided Anna loving care for four years and treated her with dignity and respect.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Pastor Faith Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Home, 550 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003.
