Saundra (Jones) “Sandy” Barker-Sentman, age 65. Born on June 16, 1946 in Roswell, NM to Victor and Mary Jones, and died on April 6, 2012 surrounded by her family in Spokane, WA. Sandy was raised in San Diego and El Cajon, CA. She graduated from El Cajon High School and then from Dental Assistant School. She met and married her first husband, Franklin Barker, in El Cajon, and together they had three children, twin sons Timothy and Gregory, and daughter Judith. After Franklin’s death in 1983, Sandy raised these teenagers alone to adulthood. She then met Glenn, through square dancing, and they have had 19 wonderful years together. She is survived by the aforementioned children and their spouses, in order, Sandra, Christy and Manuel, grandchildren Andrew, Melissa, Scott, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Jessica, Allison, Noah, Abegael and Gillian Barker. She is also survived by step-children Dale and Matthew (Margie) Sentman and step- grandchildren Brianne and Julia Sentman, and Emily Engelhard. She was predeceased by her parents and her first husband, and stepdaughter Shawn Snyder. She and her husband continued square dancing, being 18 year members of the Star Shooters Square Dance Club, and served in various offices in that club and the Western Dance Association. They also had the opportunity to travel.
A graveside service Saturday, April 14th at the Pines Cemetery, 1402 S. Pines, Spokane Valley, WA.
