Cleo E. Wilt, age 98, of Shelbina, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the Salt River community Care in Shelbina.
She was born August 30, 1912, in Monroe County, the daughter of Clarence and Edna Mac Thompson Bowling. On August 30, 1933, at New London, she was united in marriage to Bennie S. Wilt. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2004.
Mrs. Wilt is survived by one son, Bennie C. Wilt and wife, Sharon, of Plattsburg; two grandchildren, Bennie Wilt Jr., and wife, Marjorie, of Shelbina and Susan Farrell and husband, Mark, of Vandalia; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathryn Gough of Perry; and one brother, Dick Bowling of Shelbina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Barbara Fielden; two sisters, Alberta Johnson, Vera Balough; and one brother, Lyle Bowling.
Mrs. Wilt was a member of the Shelbina first Baptist Church.
Graveside services were Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Shelbina Cemetery under the direction of the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Bro. John Edwards officiated.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled children's Hospital or Donor's Choice.
