Was born in Maine in 1813, He later married Miss Mary 24 Dec 1939 in Rock Co., Wisconsin. They had one son William 1855-76 (born in CA). They first moved to the CA Gold fields then later they came to Nevada in the early 1860's settling in Gold Hill where he was a local business man who ran a saloon & boarding house.
He died Jan. 31st 1880 at age 66 and was laid to rest nest to his son William in the Gold Hill Cemetery in Plot 28. Mary would follow him in 1888.
