Mrs. Shirley Bell Baker, 74, of Trenton, TN died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Humboldt General Hospital. She was retired from Jimmy Dean in Newbern and a member of Shelter for the Sheep. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always blessed many people by her love of cooking and sewing.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Mac Daniels. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Billy Baker, Glenn Baker, Lawrence Parnell, Jr., Kenneth Parnell, Dustin Rigsby, Dickie Rigsby and Caleb Connor.

The Baker family will receive visitors Wednesday, April 18th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Survivors include 4 daughters Cindy Davis (Steve) of Trenton, Dawn Connor (Craig) of Chuckey, TN, Teresa Bass (Matt) of Montgomery City, MO and Deborah Falkner (Leonard) of Troy, MO, 5 sons Marvin Spence (Judy) and Ricky Baker (Roxanne), both of Dyersburg, Perry Baker of Hibbing, MN, Billy Baker of Fox Lake, IL and Glenn Baker (Yolanda) of Richmond, IL, 1 sister Florence Staggs (Clifford) of Hayti, MO, 1 brother Ulis Mosier of Ripley, sister-in-law Marilyn Parnell of Dyersburg, 30 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 soon to be great-great-grandchild, and many wonderful nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Alton Baker, 3 brothers, Luke Mosier, Neil Mosier, Lawrence Parnell, her parents Marcus Mosier, Ivy Jewel Parnell and stepfather Henry Parnell and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Mosier and her good friend Ernie Pirofilo.

The family requests memorials be directed to American Cancer Society.
