Rites for Murphysboro
Woman Slated Friday

Mrs. Nellie Grace Boyer, 76, mother-in-law of Murphysboro Mayor, Joe E. Williams died at 10:20 a.m. today in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro after an illness of one year.

She was born Feb. 17, 1885 in Jackson County, the daughter of C. B. and Mary Jacobs. She was married to George P. Boyer.

Mrs. Boyer was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murphysboro, and the Fidelis Sunday school class.

She leaves her husband; daughters, Mrs. Joe E. Williams of Murphysboro and Mrs. Edwin Hunter of Carbondale; sons, Eldron and Ernest both of Murphysboro; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Allard of Vergennes; a step-son, H. D. Boyer of Ft. Worth, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Ella (sic - Etta) Weaver and Mrs. Anna McIntyre both of Murphysboro; and brothers, Elmer and Clarence Jacobs both of Murphysboro.

Friends my call at the Meyer-Denny Funeral Home in Murphysboro after 7 p.m. Thursday until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. H. T. Rafnel and the Rev. Don C. Galaher will officiate. Burial will be in Worthen Cemetery.
