Sarah Fay Noland Burgess passed away September 20, 2011, at the young age of 72. She was born May 12, 1939, to Lloyd and Martha Creech Noland in Maitland, Missouri, the younger of two children.
She grew up in Missouri and Southern California. She graduated from Hawthorne High School in Los Angeles, California. She married Jay Arthur Burgess on May 10, 1963, in Salinas, California. They had three children.
She loved spending time with her family, reading books and playing the penny slot machines in Mesquite and Reno, Nevada.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Jay; children: Patricia Colleen Pickens, of Stratonville, TN; Jaylynn Burgess, of Provo, UT; and Tiffany Lynn Radmall, of Payson, UT; sister, Oleta May Nielson, of Tacoma, WA; nine grandchildren: Kevin Long, Nikki Knight, Jacob Long, Josh Long, Casey Burgess, Kyler Radmall, Chase Radmall, Cassidy Radmall and Allie Radmall; five great-grandchildren: Samantha Long, Shamille Long, Sophie Long, Spencer Long and Zachary Knight; many friends from work known as "the lunch bunch"; and special friends: Katherine Johnson and Dianne Hatch. She was preceded in death by her parents.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and a special thanks to Aspen Ridge Rehabilitation Center for taking such good care of our wife and mother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2011, at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center, Provo, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
