Mrs. Buna Murphy Buffington died at her Gainesville home on July 16, 2015. Funeral services and burial were on July 18, 2015 at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Gillsville, the Rev. Marshall Dale officiating.
Buna was born June 1, 1931, in Pendergrass, Georgia, to the late William Murphy and Eliza Skelton Murphy; she was one of ten children (eight of whom predeceased her.) She married the late Allen Buffington on June 18, 1949.
Mrs. Buffington was retired from Chicopee. She was a member of Gillsville's Lebanon United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Jack Buffington (perhaps the same person as Jack R. Buffington (1952-1988).) She was survived by three children, Scottie Buffington, Gary Buffington, and Trixie Buffington Boulware; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
