Ruth Dedrickson Granger, a daughter, in her story, "As I Remember Mama" writes, "My first recollection of home was living down on North Main Street in Spanish Fork. Shortly after this, we moved to Second West because Mama was expecting a new baby and we needed more room. Well, the baby arrived all right only there were two of them – again! I'm sure it must have been a shock to have two pairs of twins in four years. Mother loved gardening. Dad worked split shifts at the drug store. Dad attended school in Spanish Fork and Brigham Young academy. He studied pharmacy and went into the drug business as a young man. Prior to marriage, Mother came to Salt Lake City and learned to do professional dressmaking. She did beautiful sewing and made lovely wedding gowns, suits and dresses, drafting her own patterns. She had a beautiful singing voice and was a member of the Tabernacle Choir. She was active in The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher and making clothes for the dead."

Married Theodore Dahl Dedrickson February 16, 1898 in the Manti LDS Temple.
