He supposedly fathered the following children: Elizabeth (mother: Miss Robbins); Martin Jasper 'Doc' (mother: supposedly Caroline Elizabeth Bruce, but, his birth record shows her sister Emeline); Ida (mother: Caroline Elizabeth Bruce); Susan (mother: Caroline Elizabeth Bruce); Joseph Lee (mother: Caroline Elizabeth Bruce). Andrus' property, about 50 yards from his barn.

Andrus' grave location: per Slayden Douthitt's genealogy notes -- "When I began to inquire more about the great grandfather's burial site only Raymond Andrus, my mother's youngest brother, could supply me with a vague location of his grave. Lynnwood Morris, who lives on the Andrus home place, had incidentally told Raymond that a grave some 50 yards back of his residence bore a monument with the name ANDRUS inscribed. With the help of Fred Keel, my nephew by marriage, and who was familiar with the area, we together drove to the Morris home, around the livestock barn and up an incline where we could see several cedar trees which often are planted around family cemeteries. We stopped the car beside what appeared to be an Indian mound, topping a high spot which drained well. There we found only the base of the three-piece monument imbedded in the red soil but no footstone. The sub-base and upright section of marble lay flat on the ground and partly buried. Perhaps hogs and cattle which had roamed the permanent pasture for years had rubbed against the upright part, the top of which was tapered to a prism-like tip, flaring downward from six-inch sides originally smooth and polished. The engraving was readable as follows: 'Born in Maury (spelled Murray) County, Tenn. Sept. 13, 1813. Died Dec. 6, 1887. Lived in Graves County 59 years. Lived 74 years, 2 Mos., 23 days.'
