Funeral services were held yesterday
at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home for
Roberta Sawyers Deal of Mulberry, who
died Sunday afternoon (Aug. 12, 1989)
in the Franklin County Health Care Center
following a long illness. She was 76.
Bill Ivey officiated. Burial followed in the
Lynchburg Cemetery, beside her late
husband, Frank Deal.
A native of Moore County, she was the
daughter of the late Ben and Michie Baites
Sawyers. She was a former nurse at Lincoln
Regional Hospital and a member of the
Lois Church of Christ.
She is survived by one brother, Guy Sawyers
of West Newton, Pa.
