"CREEGAN 23 Sep 1893 Mrs P Creegan Sr of Mullen [Midland] died Saturday (16 Sep) of heart disease. The funeral was Monday at St Michael's Church at Frostburg." [Frostburg Mining Journal 23 Sept 1893]

Ann O'Connor came to America sometime before 1853. One story goes that she met her future husband, Patrick Creegan, on the ship on the way over in 1852. We do know for certain that she and Patrick were married in St. Michael's parish in Frostburg, MD on Sept 12. The church record reads “1853 Sept 12th Patrick Creaghan and Ann Conners were married in the presence of Edward McCormick and several others. Michael Slattery, Pastor."

Ann's family name was spelled O'Connor, Conners, and Connor in various documents. For example, her marriage license lists her name as Ann Connor.

Her husband Patrick Creegan purchased a burial plot in St. Michael's Cemetery in Frostburg according to church records, but there is no record of their burials, nor are there any grave markers or headstones in the cemetery.
