Miss Ada Teddlie dies on November 17 (clipping has handwritten notation showing death was on November 15, 1980)
Miss Ada Teddlie of Route 1, Montgomery died at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Miss Teddlie was born in Winn Parish March 27, 1889 and moved to Grant Parish with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ace Teddlie as a young girl, where she lived until July 14, 1978. She and her sister, Miss Addie Teddlie, 84, entered Grant Manor Nursing Home in Colfax due to their health failing and they could no longer live by themselves. She was 91 years of age, a member of the Hargis Baptist Church where funeral services were conducted at 2:99 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, with the Rev. Jerald Bishop and Rev. J.C. Rousseaux officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Edmond's Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Pallbearers were Johnny Jackson, David Jackson, Steve Jackson, Jerry Anderson, Phillip Anderson and Jimmy Langley. Honorary pallbearers were Lester Teddlie, Beatrice(should be Bertice) Drewett, and Thurmon Drewett. Other than her sister, Miss Addie Teddlie, Ada is survived by many nieces and nephews.
