Emmerson Aalsburg, age 2, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tunis Aalsburg, Ottumwa, died Thursday at the Ottumwa hospital of a skull injury sustained about four hours earlier.
The accident occurred as the lad's father was backing out his truck from the garage.
The little boy was riding in the rear of the truck, and unknown to his father had climbed on top of the cab as it moved out the door. His head was crushed between the door sill and cab.
Besides his parents, the boy is survived by a brother, a few months old and his grandparents in Eddyville.
