Camilla Pearsall Adams

Camilla Pearsall Adams, 71, of Sprague River, reached peace April 5, 2012, enveloped by family and listening to her favorite Bocelli arias, in Klamath Falls, Ore. A funeral service celebrated by the Rev. Martha Hurlburt will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. with a reception following. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by O'Hair Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be offered to two causes dear to her: St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Alzheimer's Association.

Camilla was a mother, grandmother, wife, and friend to all she met. She walked with grace and strength and a smile that welcomed you. Camilla was inspired to help others in her community and the compassion she felt was true and without pity. Her joy came from being a seamstress, costume designer and tabulator for competitions in the world of roller skating. She was a willing shoulder to any because this was her family too. Lioness, quilt maker, card stamper: she enjoyed entering her creations in local and county fairs and had great fun with the many successes. She loved animals, especially her cats, and they adored her. Sitting on the beach as the humpback whales showed off their beauty was pure heaven to her.

It's hard to put into words what a wonderful mother and woman Camilla was. Born in Dublin, she had that combination of wit and wisdom the Irish are famous for. She rested in your heart and gave you warmth and strength. She had beauty that shone from within and made us proud to be her children, and her example as a caregiver to her mother in her final years was a wonder. Her husband Robert Adams brought his family together with hers. Seven unique and amazing children; two daughters Diana and Joni, four stepdaughters Rebecca, Heather, Melinda and Katharine, one stepson Douglass and 16 grandchildren, creating a union we are all forever grateful for.

Joyful in life, up for any challenge, world traveler, expert genealogist, Klamath County Citizen of the Year for her dedication to the library. She created beauty with her talents and her willingness to be there for you. She will be truly missed in her physical presence but the strength and love she gave will be a beacon of happiness to follow and be guided by.
