A direct ancestor named Susie told me: "Our family research shows that he died during the American Revolution. Josiah left two sons, who were put under the guardianship of his father, George Cathey. His wife Rachel remarried to Alexander Elliott. In 1783, the court gave them permission to take her sons with them when they moved out of state, to South Carolina." My Ancestry subscription is not active in Mar. 2021, so I can't verify this, but it gives you something to research, if you wish to! Happy hunting to all you genealogists near and far!!
