Popular Citizen Succumbs to
Complications After Ill-
ness of Several Weeks.

Ben Anderson died at his home on the Canton pike, about one mile from the city, yesterday morning at three o'clock. Death was due to complications. Mr. Anderson was 68 years old. He was a native of this county, but moved to Illinois about four years ago. He returned to this county about a year ago. His wife and three children survive. His children are Luther Anderson and Mrs. Bradley, of Herrin, III., and Mrs. Jake Walker, of this city. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church. The interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
