Obituary:
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Schapville a few miles north of this city, for Herman Bohnsack, 81, a resident of this community for over 50 years. Mr. Bohnsack died at his home in Schapville about 2 o'clock Friday afternoon following an illness of nine davs. He suffered a paralvtic stroke on February 14 from which he failed to rally.

The last rites were held from the late home at 1 o'clock and at the Zion Lutheran church at Schapville at 1:15 o clock. The pastor, Rev E A Karsten, conducted the Services and burial was made in the Schapville Lutheran cemetery.

Carl Herman Bohnsack, the son of Joachim and Henrietta (Koch) Bohnsack was born in Mecklenberg. Germanv on Jan 23, 1859. He came to America in 1884 and has been a resident of Jo Daviess county most of the time since.

In 1891 he was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Wulff of Schapville and the young couple made their home on a farm north of Elizabeth in Thompson township until 1929. They have lived a retired life in Schapville the past 11 years.

Besides his widow, Mr Bohnsack leaves one son, Leo Bohnsack, of near Schapville, and two daughters Mrs Alvin (Mabel) Hammer, of Galena and Mrs. Harry (Mary) Brandt of Elizabeth: also 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Mrs William Studier, of Galena and Mrs. Fred Niemen of Schapville.

Mr Bohnsack was a member of the Schapville Lutheran church for many years.
