Mary Alice Canon, 85, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Kevin Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mary Alice was born April 10, 1926, in Anthony, Kan., to M.F. and Sybil Juanita Lake. She was of the Baptist faith and an avid crossword puzzle worker.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Canon; a son, Steve Canon; a sister; and a brother.
Survivors include two sons, Dick Gibson and wife Cindy and Dennis Gibson and
special friend Jennifer Lower, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Denise Hamm and husband Matt of Austin; five grand-
children, Rick Gibson, Denene Craven, Anita Lucero, Dennis Gibson Jr. and Haley Hamm; and seven great-
grandchildren.
