Hannah Jane Crumbaker was born May 5, 1865 at Savannah, Ill. and died August 14, 1947. She was the daughter of James Taylor and Mary Ann Elliott, who came to Kansas in 1871 and settled near Onaga. She was united in marriage to Andrew J. Crumbaker, June 23, 1887 at Onaga. To this union were born eight children. Her husband and son George prededed her in death. In early girlhood she united with the Onaga Methodist church and later transferred her membership to the Manhattan Methodist church. survivors include: Miss Edith Crumbaker of Junction City; Mrs. Guy Roberts, Colorado Springs, Colo; Mrs. Willfred Johnson, Cleburne; Mrs. Earl Needham, San Jose, Calif; Mrs. Merle Morris, Newton; Charles Crumbaker, Manhattan and James Crumbaker of Tempe, Az. 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; on sister and four brothers, Mrs. Oscar Roderick, of Manhattan; James Taylor and John Taylor, Topeka; George Taylor, Buffalo, Kansas and Samuel Taylor, Beloit, Wisconsin. Funeral services were held at Manhattan Methodist church last Saturday afternoon. Burial was in the Manhattan cemetery. The active pall bearers were three grandsons and three grand sons-in-law.
