After returning from the war, Liberty and Jane welcomed daughter Anna M. I caught up with the family in 1870, still in North Township. Liberty, aged 53, was still farming for a living. Jane, aged 41, was at home with their children--Clarinda, aged 20, James, aged 16, Elizabeth, aged 14, George, aged 13, Eliza, aged 10, Liberty, aged 8, and Anna, aged 3.
Daughter Hannah had married John B. Giller on 13 Sep 1866.
When the 1880 Census was taken, Liberty, aged 57, and Jane, aged 55, were still in Plymouth. Liberty simply gave laborer as his occupation. There were five children still at home with them--Lizzie, aged 22, George, aged 20, Eliza, aged 19, Liberty Jr., aged 16, and Annie, aged 12.
On 14 Aug 1885, Liberty filed for an invalid's pension. He died seven years later in 1892, sometime before March 9th when Jane filed for a widow's pension.
Jane appeared on the 1900 Census, living in Plymouth with daughter Hannah and Hannah's husband John Giller, a carpenter. Also there was Jane's grandson Edward, aged 23. Granddaughter Emma had married Charles C. Miles on 12 Apr 1888. It was on this record that Jane reported that she had given birth to eleven children, but that only six had survived to that census.
Jane died six years later on 9 Mar 1906 at age 81, and was buried alongside husband Liberty.
