Francis Theodore Brown, age 82, of rural Tiffin, MO, passed away at Cedar County Memorial Hospital Wednesday evening, March 28, 2012. Francis was born January 7, 1930 near Jerico Springs, MO, the son of Theodore and Beulah (Lewallen) Brown. On January 13, 1950, he married Nina Mae Moore in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. To this union were born two daughters: Jo Ellen Campbell and Frances Marlene Burris.

Francis began working at International Shoe Factory in 1947, where he met his lovely bride. He then went to work at Canteen Vending from 1956-1963, in Kansas City. He worked at various lumberyards from 1964-1986.

While working at Overland Park he took a position as Associate Pastor in Kearney, MO. Later he took a pastorate position in Avondale, MO, was there three years, and then retired for the first time.

In 1993 the lumberyard bug bit Francis again, and he went back to work for the Kimberly City Lumberyard. Later in that year he moved back to the El Dorado Springs area and since the lumberyard bug was still biting, he went to work for Tapjac and Barton's. He retired for the second time and then took a job driving used cars at the age of 75. Francis finally retired for good in 2010.

He enjoyed hobbies of fishing, hunting, woodcrafting and being with family. He also loved taking his brother, Charley, out for coffee time and sometimes breakfast. His greatest joy was serving the Lord with all his heart and soul.

Preceding Francis in death were a daughter, Frances Marlene Burris; his parents; and some nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Nina Brown, of the home; one daughter, Jo Ellen Campbell and husband Richard of Warrensburg, MO; three granddaughters: Janet Campbell of Independence, MO; Susan Randall and husband Chris of Wisconsin; and Dianne Moore and husband Rob of Virginia; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one brother, Charley Brown and wife Susan of El Dorado Springs, MO; and two sisters: Jo Green of El Dorado Springs, MO; and Mary Marshall of Strasburg, MO.
