Born in Trenton, she was a Bordentown resident since 1962. Mary worked at Swift Colonial Dinner in Lawrence Township for many years and then at Monroe Village Assistant Living, where she found joy in caring for the residents until an early retirement.
Mary devoted her life to family and church. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Yardville, and a member of the Bordentown Township Seniors and the Survivors Group. Mary especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Wright) Secord, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Carmichael; her brother, Charles 'Skip' Secord; and brothers-in-law, George Carmichael, John Carmichael, William Carmichael, and David Carmichael.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Zuzulock; son-in-law, Stephen J. Zuzulock; three grandchildren, Stephen J. Zuzulock, Brian M. Zuzulock, and Mary P. Zuzulock; great-grandson, Aiden W. Zuzulock, all of Bordentown; a brother, Richard Morine of Minnesota; sister-in-law, Barbara Morine; stepchildren, John Carmichael, Joseph Carmichael, and Elaine Carmichael; sister-in-law, Katherine M. Secord of Middletown, Pa.; brother-in-law, Thomas Carmichael of Palmyra; sister-in-law, Genevieve Lepesha; brother-in-law, Alexander Lepesha of Delran; sister-in-law, Anna M. Carmichael of New Egypt; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.
