Funeral services for Edgar G. Honig, 72, of 3603 Howell, a retired Dallas barber, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Lamar & Smith Funeral Chapel, 800 West Jefferson, with the Rev. Donald G. Smith of the Church of the Incarnation officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park. Honig, a native and lifelong Dallas resident, died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness. Honig for many years until his retirement owned a barber shop at 1705 Live Oak. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 53 and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife; a step-son, W.H. Parham of Houston, a brother Henry T. Honig of Dallas, and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Ingram of Greggton, Gregg County, Mrs. Christen Mattison of San Antonio, and Mrs. Minnie Nograss of Dallas. Pallbeares will be, John B. Hinsley, James L. Mayo, E.H. McNeil, B.W. Bragg, Robert R. Anderson and Leonard Holder.
