Mr. Harry Floyd Harding, age 83 of Toone, departed this life Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Lafayette County, Mississippi on October 30, 1928 to the late Ollie Quay Howell and Chelcie Gray Harding. He was united in marriage to Helen Ann Tyson, who survives, October 18, 1949 and worked in civil service with the Army Depot from 1950 to 1974. He served his country in the United States Air Force for over two years after World War II. Mr. Harding lived most of his life in Hardeman County, with the exception of having lived in Memphis for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia Slaughter of Toone; a son, Rickey Dewayne Harding of Madison County; a sister, Mary Quay Woolfork; five grandchildren, Megan Rae Marcellini, Anna Lynn Nelling, Travis Scott Riddle, Amy Rochelle Capo and Caleb Andrew Riddle Slaughter; and six great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Joyce Riddle; a sister, Kathleen Fay Radford; and a brother, Calvin Coolidge Harding.
