    Death of E. E. Heacock. Elmer E. Heacock, for many years a resident of this community, passed away at his home in Denver, Colo., May 30, 1946, aged 83 years, 9 months and 28 days. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1st in charge of the Masonic Order. Burial was in a Denver cemetery.
    Edward Elmer Heacock, son of Edward R. and Hannah S. Heacock, was born in Darby, Pa., August 2, 1862. He moved witht his parents to Lyon county, Ks., in early childhood and grew to manhood in that county. In the early 80's he went to Colorado and spent several years, later returning to Lyon county. January 13, 1897, he was united in marriage to Ida H. Hamman, of Strawn, Kans., moving to a farm near Hartford, where they lived until 1940, when they moved to Denver, Colo.
    To this union were born eight children, of which Edward C., at the age of four years, preceded him in death. Those left to mourn in his death besides his companion, are seven children, Emory W. and James H. Heacock of Hartford; Miss Ethel Heacock of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Laura Burns of San Carlos Calif.; three brothers, L. W. [Lewis Willard] Heacock of McMinnville, Ore.; A. H. [Albert Henry] Heacock, of Calgary, Alberta Canada; and [Abner] Raymond Heacock of Washington.
