ALEXANDER BARCLAY
Lonaconing--Alexander Barclay, 81 died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Frazer) Barclay. His wife, Veronica (Garlitz) Barclay, preceded him in death.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers and a past director of Miners Hospital, Frostburg.
Surviving are three sons, Alex, George and Garlitz Barclay, here; five daughters, Miss Kathleen Barclay, here; Mrs. George McAlpine, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Joseph Bell, Baltimore; Mrs. Raymond Piquett, LaVale, and Mrs. William Layman; a brother, James Barclay, here; 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and from 7 until 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted there Monday at 2 p.m. by Kenneth Clary of Jehovah's Witnesses. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
