The daughter of Daniel and Mary Williams Rench, Harriett Andrews was born in Jerome, Ohio. She married Jesse Andrews on Sept. 28, 1854 in Union County. He preceded her in death in 1879 and is buried in the original Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jerome.

They were the parents of sons: William Henry, Daniel Hugh and Elmer Lincoln Andrews; and one daughter, Mary Isabel Andrews Seely. Their sons are all buried in the Jerome Township Cemetery.
