Ann was the daughter of William Marwood and Mary Ann Richardson (b. Byland Abbey near Coxwold). Ann was baptized on 14 Sep 1817. She married William Blakey Sr. (son of John Blakey Sr. and Ann Blenkarn) on 6 Aug 1839 at St. Michael Church in Crambe, Yorkshire, England. They had eleven children:
