Ramona "Mona" Jean Anderson
January 25, 1930 – March 22, 2012

Dallas – Ramona Anderson, 82, of Dallas died on March 22, 2012. She was born in Staples, Minnesota to Forest and Addaline Knapp. As a teenager she moved from Minnesota to Valsetz, Oregon, where she graduated from high school.

In 1953 she met and married Delore "Bud" Anderson. Together they went on to raise three children, Bradley, Charleen, and Denise. Mona is best known for all of the years she worked at the Dallas JC Penny store. She found many lifelong friends during her time there and also at the Corvallis and Albany stores.

Her passion was her home and her family. She spent countless hours working in her rose gardens. Her home was immaculate, yet warm and inviting. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Neither rain nor wind, snow nor ice, could keep her from attending an athletic or school event in which one of her grandchildren were participating.

Holidays were of special importance to her and she loved to gather family around. No holiday was complete without her Chocolate Delight. Her smiles and laughter made every holiday a celebration. She was devoted daughter. She cared for both of her parents during their final years.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Delore "Bud", of Dallas, and their son Bradley (Nancy) Anderson, of Redmond, OR, daughters Charleen (Bob) Janzen, of Bend, OR, and Denise Feeney. She is also survived by four of her grandchildren, Matthew (Kaisa) Janzen, of Los Angles, CA, Angie (Noah) McLeod, of Clatskanie, OR, Brant (Megan) Hicks, of Clatskanie, OR, and Tammara (Terry) Ferrando, of Keizer, OR, and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Rechelle.

The funeral is planned for Monday, March 26th at 11:00AM at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Private burial will be at the Dallas Cemetery
