Son of the late Heber Mikel and Hattie Buffington Blasdel, he was preceded in death by his grandparents who helped raise him, Clint and Nettie Blasdel, one brother and one sister. He was survived by his wife Norma Stanley Blasdel (married on May 27, 1958, in Sulpher, OK); two daughters, Colleen Blasdel Kennington (Tom) and Charlene Blasdel Satterley (Mark); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Blasdel (Thelma); sister, Carolyn Cecil); and an extended family of relatives and friends. His funeral was held on March 16, 2012, with Scott Whitley officiating. He owned and operated Blasdel Trucking Company. He was a member of the Pioneer Gun Slingers, the Moose Lodge and the Enid-Cherokee Strip Round-Up Club.
