Summerton - Mrs. Jimmie Lou Davis, 68, of 2911 Princess Pond Road, Summerton, died Monday July 20, 2009, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. The Rev. Larry Kennedy will officiate. Mrs. Davis was born May 26, 1941, in Bamberg, the daughter of the late Thomas Hutto and the late Lula Mae Weathers Hutto. She was the widow of the late Dempsey Bruce Davis and was preceded in death by a brother, David Hutto. Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Wayne) Bruner of Neeses, Sheri (David) Ott of Branchville; a son, Wayne (Pam) Davis of Cordova; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bertha Waltz of Summerton, Polly Mills of Holly Hill, Riva "Susie" (Charles) Murphy of Orangeburg; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence of Connie and Wayne Bruner, 2145 Slab Landing Road, Neeses, and the funeral home.
